Every day...is a day to recommit to a healthy lifestyle

Sometimes the daily grind can really suck. Today is not one of those days, instead today is a day I feel full of energy and hope for the days to come. I need to bottle this and keep it here in my blog for the next day when I ask how can this healthy lifestyle thing be a lifetime commitment?

Today I did some really good things for me!
1. I stopped at Starbucks...ok not the healthiest thing in the world, but a nice treat for me! And it wasn't all that bad. I stopped and got a vente drip coffee and a reduced fat delicious turkey bacon sandwich. DELICIOUS!
2. I went to Spin! Shea-Ra Princess of Power kicked my ass so good!
3. I met Ann at the Y for a run on the treadmill and a short ab workout and stretch.

So no I didn't do brain surgery, or get a new job, or graduate with honors, or make a 12 layer cake, or ...anything out of the ordinary today. But I feel recommitted!

Today I did things that were good for me and in line with the person I strive to be every morning when I wake up. And that feels really good!

And this sort of attitude might help me lose 25 lbs and it might help me run 26.2 miles. I need more of this and less nachos.
